Congrats on getting approved! My Fiance has her interview in Japan next month. How long did it take for them to mail you your documents back and visa after the interview?

I interviewed on Wednesday morning and I got my visa and documents back on Friday afternoon of the same week. Faster than I’d dared to hope.

Incredible. Congrats again and thanks for the information!

Do you mind me asking what of proof of relationship evidence did you provide in the interview? we provided tickets and pictures for the I-129F. Was not sure if that was enough to bring to the interview as well, or if we should provide more like our chat transcripts. The problem with that is that there are thousands upon thousands of pages....

I did the same thing for the interview that I did for the initial application- because I had thousands of lines of chat, I searched my chat history on LINE for keywords like “wedding” “honeymoon” “family” “future” “love” “live” “can’t wait” etc. and took screenshots of the messages that showed we really talk about those things. Then pasted them onto a word doc and printed them out. Maybe 3 additional pages for the interview? Something like 12 screenshots from the July 2020-April 2021 period. I also included our photos and boarding passes from my trip to California in Dec 2020. Plus an updated statement of intent from both of us. That’s all I think!

wow thanks for all the info! Yes, that sounds like it would be more than enough. I appreciate it.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
