Comments : There was a bit of a wait in submitting my documents as I was waiting for my police certificate from the UK, and then again from Malaysia but we were in lockdown so again, more delays.
We had to set our own interview date on the website - the embassy did not provide us with a date.

Consulate Review: Malaysia

Event Description

Embassy Review : Really, really efficient.
Was a small room with 2 open booths. You'd hand your papers in one booth, then wait for the consulate in another booth.
My interview took no more than 10 minutes.

Overall, extremely efficient. Just wow!
Rating : Very Good

Hi, fellow Malaysian here but right now based in Bangkok. I was wondering if the embassy has already received your case and how long will it take for you to schedule an interview? My case has been in transit since April 10 but there is a severe backlog in Thailand and there are others who have been in transit since February. I'm thinking of doing a case transfer back to Malaysia.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
