Consulate Review: Ankara, Turkey
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : October 2, 2023
Embassy Review : My husband said that the officer asked him the same question several times about my mother (his mother in law) as if to trick him. The officer also said that my husband was missing a document but my husband had it, the officer just did not look over his papers, or any of the things that would have shown proof of what he rejected our application for. I have been through this process before with a fiance visa many years ago, and my experience was much easier that time. I feel like luck was not on our side and the officer my husband had to do the interview with was not careful at all. Our case has been further delayed, as a result of such error on their part and we are really frustrated. I just want my husband to come home.
Rating : Very Poor

Our paralegal has made many mistakes with our case and that's why our case has been delayed at least two times. If I could go back, I would have applied without a lawyer.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
