Event Description

Embassy Review : Finally I get to give a review, and it's a good one (Yay to approval). Shout-out to all the other couples leaving reviews and information, you helped calm my nerves.
Overall, the whole process was smooth and incredibly fast. My appointment was at half one and I was out of the embassy by 1.50.
I first arrived 20 minutes before my appointment time and was told to come back 10 minutes beforehand. Once inside, I went through security, similar to airport security. I had to take off my shoes (doc martens made the scanner go off). I was then pointed in the right direction to the document intake.
The lady behind the counter was really friendly and helped calm the nerves. She tooked all of the required documentation - birth cert (original and photocopy), police cert, sealed medical results (she handed me back CD of chest x-ray), affidavit of support and supporting documents, passport, and recent passport photos. She asked me general questions eg fiance name, dob, my country of residence.
Once she took all the documents, I waited to be called by the CO. The CO interview was short and to the point. He asked me 5 main questions:
- Where and when did we meet each other?
- When did our relationship become official?
- Why choose to move to US instead of Ireland?
- Have I previously been to US?
- Why have I spent so much time in US and what did I do?

As I have had many trips to US and previously overstay on ESTA so I was worried about denial. He asked me a few more questions relating to my overstay, but no more on my fiance or our relationship.

He then said everything looks good here and my passport will be sent to me within 7-10 days
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
