She scheduled her packet delivery to be held a Canada Post in Montreal and as soon as it was delivered she picked it up and headed for the border. Crossed into Champlain, NY, immigration officer were super quick, CBA took a little longer getting the paperwork done for the veh.

Filed online today. We had filed previously in 2006 while we were living in the USA and made it to the interview stage on Marla’s I-485. But due to family emergencies we withdrew that application the day before her interview and moved to Canada to be with her family. So 13 years later we’re starting over.

We submitted an incorrect Police Cert when we originally scanned our paperwork. Had one done by the local police department I worked for but it had to come from the RCMP. Got those fingerprints done on Jan 20, submitted it on Jan 27 to NVC. Took exactly 2 weeks for them to approve the new certificate.

I am not sure if you entered the dates correctly, cuz you are the only one so far scheduled to have interview on April 9, and the case was just completed on FEB 2021. Any reason for that ?
Keith & Marla on 2021-03-10 said:
They are right. I applied for a medical expedite on Feb 10th, it was approved and sent to the consulate on Feb 19th. March 2nd we received notification that the interview was scheduled for April 9th.

What medical grounds, if you don't mind me asking ? Thx for your quick respnse

Hey Keith, I am not sure if you still follow this link. But I got my application approved for expedite. which basically didnot help us a lot cuz almost there anyway. but my question how long does it take for them to contact you with an interview date, should we send another email to them. thx
Keith & Marla on 2021-08-23 said:
It took about 2 weeks for them to contact us. After the expedite is approved the consulate requests the FBI expedite their background check. You won’t hear anything until the FBI sends their report to The consulate. Marla didn’t feel like it really helped either until she got there for her interview and was sitting with people who had been approved and their file sitting at the consulate waiting for an interview date for over a year.
HAB on 2021-08-24 said:
Thx. Did the interviewer officer knew that the case was expedited or do we have to tell him at the interview ? and did your case approved on spot, or did they need more AP for it after the interview ?
Keith & Marla on 2021-08-24 said:
After the interview was scheduled the expedite didn’t seem to make a difference, it is only good for skipping to the front of the queue for an interview appointment. My wife did mention it in her interview when asking how long it would be before she got her passport back and she was told she would get it whenever the paperwork was done. They told her at the interview that she was approved but it took 10 days for her to get her paperwork and passport back.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
