Consulate Review: Kuwait
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : March 25, 2021
Embassy Review : Interview complete. Done today 24th march 2021 at the US embassy kuwait.
Bring documents as requested by embassy in their email. I may have over prepared with a lot of copies.
Don't carry any electronics. Keep em in the car. Don't even carry the brown sealed envelope from the medical as it contains a CD.
Interview questions were from 2 lady officers. Both are behind glass windows.
1st officer took all original documents. Asked basic questions like where my wife is and what she does. After asking questions she told me to wait for like 20 mins.
2nd officer made me take an oath and took my fingerprints.
She Asked me ..
where I was born ? Where have I lived ?
How'd I meet my wife ? Where will I be living in the US ? When did I meet my wife ? Theme of the wedding ?
Did both sides of the family come for the wedding ? Arranged or love marriage ? What work will I do in the states ? What is my wife's work? When all did I meet my wife ? When did I last see my wife? How frequently do I speak to my wife ? Was I or my wife married before ?

After asking questions she said.. looks like there is no reason to not give you a visa. She took my passport, phone number and told me to come pick it up when the visa is issued (within this week).
I have 6 months to travel. (Validity of my medical report)
Rating : Very Good

No idea man. I track with both VJ and lawfully. VJ tells me between 21 and 22. Lawfully says before 29. From what I've seen on Facebook groups, potomac is close to the end of January now. So, yes, I think it should be done in 1 week.
Azmin on 2021-01-19 said:
Thanks. Have u check on uscis processing time.

Yes. It says 11.5 to 14 months. But as per trend I see, people from late January is getting approved.
Azmin on 2021-01-19 said:
Ohh, i asked u because i thought they are taking 14 months to process case. Bcz it said 11.5 to 14 months
Azmin on 2021-01-19 said:
Can u please tell me why they say 11.5 to 14 month on their uscis website
blank avatar T&V on 2021-01-19 said:
That's the maximum delay. That means they have cases from last year that are 14 months old that haven't been finished processing. Usually means those are some complicated case from tough countries or lack evidence.
Azmin on 2021-01-19 said:
Ohh thank u very much..and please let me know if u got your approval letter
Azmin on 2021-01-19 said:

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
