Comments : Had an earlier RFE on 11/15/2021. The January 2023 RFIE asked for a copy of our marriage certificate, even though I'm 100% certain it was already included in the initial application packet.

For January 2023 RFE, submitted request on 3/27/23, since it had been over 60 days with no response to RFE.

Consulate Review: Mumbai, India
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : July 10, 2021
Embassy Review : My fiance had a very good experience at the consulate for his K1 interview. He said the interview was fairly short, less than 10 minutes, and straightforward. The interviewer asked where he works, where I work, what my job entails. The interviewer also asked if we talk everyday (we do), and asked about an experience when I was in India last year where I was hospitalized because I needed an emergency surgery, and Rohan was there to help with my recovery. I think Rohan mentioned a couple of other basic questions he was asked. The interviewer then made Rohan take an oath saying that we would get married within 90 days of his arrival, and then told him his visa was approved. They didn't ask to look at any of the evidence of our relationship that Rohan brought.

Also, it turned out the passport photos Rohan brought weren't exactly the right size, but they let him leave to go get proper ones and come back to submit them. Which was exceptionally nice of them!
Rating : Very Good

Congratulations on you EAD approval. Did you expedite it?

We actually just submitted an expedite request to our member of congress’ office yesterday. The staff member there said she would submit it to USCIS. But that was less than 24 hours ago. This seems to soon to be a result of that, so it may just be a coincidence?

Yes, seems like it. We submitted our case in sep so I'm wondering what the hold up is. I also expedited my case online on March 23 but no response yet. did you have an RFE on your AOS?
blank avatar Joe.b on 2022-04-22 said:
Yes, we got an RFE for the AOS, and submitted the requested evidence within a couple of days.

Same, ours was in December. How about yours?

Ours was in November, about a month after we submitted the application

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
