Comments : Due to shipping issues because of COVID-19, my wife was unable to take the original documents (divorce decree) to the interview. I was worried that this would be a problem because she only had a copy. They didn't even ask her for it. All they asked for was the medical test results and a copy of the DS-261 forum. They asked her about 7 or 8 standard questions, and told her
that she is approved and to come back in a few days to pick up her passport.

She was offered her a translator but she didn't need one. They were friendly and professional.

Hi guys! Any word on your petition?

No nothing yet. Per USCIS processing time is 6.5 month to 8.5 month. Hopefully we'll hear something about our application soon. I'm going to send them a case inquiry if I don't hear from them by 8.5 month.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
