Comments : Hello everyone!
I crossed yesterday in St Bernard de Lacolle.

Officer in the booth:
- where are you going? (NYC)
- is it your first time crossing with your visa?
- anything to declare? (i said i have chocolates)
- what’s your husband’s name
- where are you coming from
- how much cash are you carrying? (300$ usd)

I parked my car then went to the immigration / customs building.
A guy will take your key and give you a number.

Officer in the building:
- where did you and your husband meet?
- when did you guys meet?
- when was your wedding day?
- where did you guys get married?
- do you know what is a CR1 / what will happen after you arrive in the USA
- when was your medical? (i forgot exactly when but it was 2 weeks before my interview)
- what do i do for living
- where is my address in the US / what’s my phone number if i have one
- anything to declare?
- did i pay the IV fee?
- do i have my car registration? (it was in the car)
I then took my fingerprints and a photo. I got my stamp of entry.
This officer then drops me to another building so i can import my car. I followed their patrol car.

My car did not get search or any second inspection. I also did a list of stuffs i was bringing but they didn’t ask.

🚘🚘🚘
Car importation building:
I gave the form 3520, form hs-7, car registration, car title, a letter that the loan was paid off, and my manufacturer’s letter

They photocopied my documents and gave me back the originals. My car is a Nissan Altima 2013 and my VIN # starts with 1 (made in USA) so i didn’t pay any taxes and duties.
Everything was good, and they stamped the paper i have to bring for DMV. The officer’s here we’re nice and felt relaxed.
They do NOT do the inspection or check the car in this step. (an answer i couldn’t find from anyone - so i’d like to share this for the future)
I also had my TPMS light on and i was worried they would see it. And i drove all the way to mt destination with the light on. I made sure it was working and a garage confirmed my
TPMS was working.

EXIT
He told me where to go but i ended up asking him where again. He then dropped me to the exit, and i said to the guy that’s in the booth “i have no document” that is what the officer told me to say.

Good luck to everyone crossing the borders during COVID. Drive safe.

Embassy Review : CR1 VISA approved!! 🥰❤️

- They asked me for my passport, birth certificate, marriage certificate and police certificate (they did not ask any of my husband’s document at all). They asked for my police certificate of the Philippines, however i don’t have it, and i didn’t need to provide it because i was 9 years old when i came to Canada, which is the reason why the lady also said they didn’t need it as i was underage.

- Interview: I was just asked who is my petitioner, how did we meet, when and where, which state i will be going, what he does for work, if he was previously married, if we have a kid together. She also asked if i read the document that i was given before this step, and she asked what was it about. (Domestic Violence paper)

My appointment was at 8:45 AM and got out by 10:15. I was super nervous. You get to the elevator, then you stand on Window 6, the person sometimes isn’t there so you need to wait for the person to appear. Then you wait for almost 30 minutes to be called for your documents, and then your interview.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
