Comments : This process was crazy ……. for no damn reason. First of all, my fiancée complete his interview on 4/12/22 where he came early 6:45am. His interview was @ 8am. He was process by security to verify his interview appointment welcome letter in which he called me for to confirm that I have giving the documents. Now he was called in to be sworn before submitting all documents in the first window. He was asked to provide pictures, passport, advafit of support signed, 129f approval letter I79c form, birth certificate, medical payment receipt, and interview payment receipt, plane ticket, police report, etc. furthermore, he was then asked to be interview by a black woman on window #2 who asked him what is his name? Your fiancée name? Where does his fiancée live in the US? How times has we visit each other? Has she been married before? When did you engaged her? Once he have answered all the questions. On the other hand, the CO was so interested in our engagement pictures, because we was so dressed up for the engagement. She thought it was traditional marriage picture!!! The CO told my fiancée are these marriage pictures. Lord and behold I’m so proud of my fiancée for stepping in the conversation and reassure the CO these photos are our engagement pictures and not traditional marriage as you are assuming, that as a matter of fact in all of our pictures we as a couple like wearing native match clothing’s. She was like oh wow I like her dress it’s beautiful. Finally, the CO states I’m impress with your pictures. She then handed him a white paper (221g) form that did not asked for any other docs but checked the box on the bottom of the page that reads refused, she also told my fiancée he did extremely well in the interview today !!! that they will contact him for the next step. On April 19, 2022 we received an email from the embassy asking to submit my fiancée passport to the DHL located in Lagos. 4/21/22 we landed in Lagos and turn in his passport. Since then we have been waiting for a while to hear back about his passport. On cgifederal website the Us embassy in Lagos has recieved his passport on 4/26/22. the passport was at the embassy for processing on 5/12/22, which states as application recieved. On CEAC website on 5/13/22 his case was updated to administrative process. Now today 5/16/22 it now states issued. We came along way praise God won’t he do it. The wait is over let the journey begins. Thank you my fellow peers who is reading this site you all are all next for approval. Hang in there!!!!!!!!! Thank you all.

Yes you can schedule your appt before the welcome letter….. first you have to pay the MVR fee for $ 265.00 for the k1 visa at the embassy bank or online if you have account. Then the welcome letter comes after . Just prepare your documents and schedule medical and police report must be done and complete before the interview dates. I suggest you check for interview times once you pay and register your account at traveldocs. Between 8:30am usa time.

No just go and pick up a date. You like a month in advance and do your medical appointment schedule as well. Your fiancée will have the opportunity to bring a scan copy of you can send it to him for them to upload
Lyndacute on 2022-03-17 said:
Your case is already document qualified….. all you need to do is go on ceac.gov website and follow instructions on uploading your financial statements so then can forward to the embassy and your fiancée needs to have a copy as well

Congratulations on your journey so far. Wanted to ask, do you have an idea why it took so long for you to get noa2 and why they put you on administrative process even after a good interview. Are there any red flags?
Lyndacute on 2022-11-21 said:
They took to long because Nigeria embassy was not ready to interview k1 visa applicants. Second administrative processing is what they put everyone when they are creating. Visa
Lyndacute on 2022-11-21 said:
PS their was not no red flag. When they approved your interview. They place your case under administrative processing under your visa to US is printed out and then your case status will change too ISSUED meaning you are approved to fly now to the us just wait to they request for you to pick up passport back once the visa is inside.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
