Interview 4/7/2021: Arrived at USCIS and waited in parking lot until 9:30am for check-in ($8 cash only), Interview scheduled for 945am, got called to interview by the officer by 10am, Interview was very easy. Went over the i-130 and i-130a by confirming information on the from about ourselves and the other person. Transitioned to the i-485 confirming information and asking the yes-no questions. Asked us "our story", pictures of our dog, asked for bona fides - mostly just took financial documents and joint taxes. Asked to see original copy of both birth certificates and marriage certificate. Flipped through every page of beneficiary's passport (I believe looking to see if CBP stamped it for last entry - they did not). Did not want utility bills. Did not ask for updated employer letter or current paystubs (possibly bc direct deposits noted on bank statements? and we gave her our 2020 W2s). Gave the officer an updated i693 medical. Officer asked if we had any questions and we confirmed we would be getting the 10yr card (made it by 1 day!). Interview concluded by her giving us a letter saying the interview was complete and the case needed to be further reviewed. She also inadvertently congratulated us before correcting herself. We were outside in the parking lot by 10:40a. Approved online around 5pm with "new card being produced" status.
4/8, 5am Received the USCIS email alerting us that action had been taken on the case. Pending EAD/AP renewals now showing: "Case Closed Benefit Received By Other Means"

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
