Comments : Documentarily qualified with NVC on 2020-07-08. Submitted expedited request letter to NVC public inquiry form on 2020-07-07, followed up with NVC and was asked to re-send to NVC Expedite email on 2020-07-17. NVC approved request for expedited processing on 2020-07-28 and file was sent directly to Frankfurt consulate for scheduling. Also filed I-129F on 2020-01-16, and received denial on 2020-07-23 due to the fact that the I-130 was already approved.

Because our interview at the Frankfurt consulate was scheduled with less than two weeks notice, my husband had to do his medical the day before the interview. Since the results are sent over to the Consulate, they were not available at the time of his interview. Thus, we had to sit in Administrative Processing for about 10 days until the visa was ready to issue. All in all, it wasn't as painful a process as anticipated, although of course you always wish the process would wrap up sooner! We are still super grateful, especially in light of delays that many couples are encountering throughout the world due to COVID-19.

Thank you! Yes, we did at the NVC level after we received notification of being documentarily qualified. Submitted to the NVC Expedite email on 7/17/2020 and received approval notification on 7/28/2020. Let me know if you have any other questions, and best of luck!

Thank you! It took about 10 days post-interview, but we are approved!

Congratulations on your approval. Happy for you guys. I was thinking of doing the same thing as you guys did (expediting after DQ at NVC). We have a 5 year old attending online school and I may have to undergo surgery (postponed it). 10 days does not seem to be bad at all for AP due to receiving medical results. Is it difficult to get appointments for medical in Frankfurt on a short interview notice? Again, happy for you guys and all the best :)

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
