Consulate Review: Sydney, Australia
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : January 25, 2021
Embassy Review : Very much the same procedural experience as the previous reviews. Get there 30min early, wait, line up, wash hands, hand over phone, elevator, ticket, waiting, waiting, finger prints and files, waiting, waiting, waiting, interview, done. Felt like forever and a minute at the same time.

Everyone at the consulate was incredibly nice the whole way through. The interview went for maybe 10-15 minutes and I was really only asked about our relationship, where we met etc, plans for the wedding, where I'll be living and then told me it was accepted.

Worst part by and large was the waiting factor and stifling my excitement (and maybe a tear or two) as I went back down the elevator with the worker who first took my finger prints and files.
Rating : Very Good

Congrats, you guys. It took 45 days to get your NOA1? and then 105 days for your NOA2? that first date was LOOOONG! But the second was quick (given the current climate) - Hopefully you get a speedy interview.

Thanks mate! Very relieved receiving the NOA2 today. The NOA1 had one of our names incorrectly spelt so had to amend it... Hope you guys get your NOA2 soon and the interview just as quick!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
