for me iam k1 visa when the nvc sent my case to the embassy and my status turned to ready for interview when scheduled i entered the embassy site and book appointment for interview

for me my case sent from uscis to nvc 16-September and left nvc 12-November they notified me that my case sent to embassy and in its way after few days i checked my status on ceac and it was like that ready your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the us consular section if you have already scheduled appointment for interview prepare ur documents otherwise please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment then i entered embassy site and book appointment my self ...i donot know if its same for ur type of visa but i wish my info help u

what did they told u on ur uscis approval note? in mine it was that they sent it to nvc and it will take them from 1 month to 2 months to finish their work and send it to the embassy
