Event Description
Review Date : April 13, 2021
Embassy Review : Very smooth experience with large amount of parking in Jerusalem's Arnona neighborhood.

Arrived early in the morning for an 8 AM appointment. You hand in some of the requested documents at the window + they already have all of the medical exam details and so on digitally.

As the sponsor(husband) and a US Citizen - you must stay outside once your partner goes is called into the embassy.

Interview was fairly routine, quick and without any pressure. Spouse was informed they will approve the visa.

Honestly not nearly as difficult as all of the petition application/NVC craziness one must submit before getting to the actual interview.

Rating : Very Good

Hey! Was your case expedited or something? My husband and I are also living in Israel and just sent in the paperwork to come to the states. I was shocked by your timeline.

I don't think so. I never requested it. The key factor IMO was marrying in the United States with both of our parents present thus simplying verifying things for the USCIS personnel.

We married in Canada. We couldn’t get a visa to the US to marry and so we just married in Canada then came to Israel. 🙃

Hi ! Have you got your appointment date for interview so far ? I have been documentarily qualified but still waiting for appointment date. Do you know if the US embassy in Jerusalem is already conducting interviews for immigrant visa?
DJG1 on 2020-12-12 said:
Hi Lady G, We only just finished submitting some of the forms this month therefore we are now awaiting an interview date.

I’m also DQ’d as of 2 weeks ago. We all in the same boat 😬❤️ Good luck to you all! Keep us updated!
TampaRishon on 2020-12-12 said:
Lady G, they said they are not currently doing routine visa services. Only emergency cases. 🤷🏻‍♀️ We requested an emergency case 1 month ago and have yet to hear back. They’re also dealing with K1s mostly right now so who knows when they’ll get back to processing as normal

Thanks for the heads up. We are in no rush at the moment... perhaps it will get better after the new year?

I would assume that a vaccine and reopening the economy and stuff would certainly help open up the embassy. 🙃 We shall see.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
