Consulate Review: Cameroon
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : December 23, 2020
Embassy Review : My Fiancee's experience was brief, nerve racking but good. She arrived an hour early and had to wait outside till it was time to go in. She was the first and only K-1 case that day. Her interview was scheduled for 7:30 - and after walking in and submitting her documents, she was told to sit for a few mins before being interviewed. The CO called her up and ran through some quick questions - Who is requesting your presence in the US, what does he do, where does he live, How we met, who introduced us, if we had done a traditional wedding and if our families would be attending the wedding. And that was it. They approved her and she was out in about an hour.
I know peoples experiences would not be thesame but if you have your facts straight and not being too nervous or desperate the chances of getting approved are good. With Covid and everything, I am lucky to be able to have my loved one here with me. And for the fellow Cameroonians, feel free to DM if you ever have any questions K-1 related
Rating : Very Good

I am not sure as to why you haven't heard back. All cases that left NVC I was able to track and got to Yaoundé on time. They were three packets. Please check your messages. I left you a DM

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
