Hi all NVC received my case on the 24th of October anyone know when I might get case number?

Hello email kingstoniv@state.gov for an update on the next steps after your interview.

Yes I did but they said it is under administrative review , they didn’t give my husband a 221g form but she gave him a white paper stating his right in the US

Did you ask the reason for administrative review?

No I didn’t at the interview they didn’t say they need anything else from him she just say that he was approve and should receive his visa in two weeks but it has been almost a month now they only changing the dates

Ask the reason for the AR and if there is anything you can do to expedite the process. Hope it gets sorted out soon.

Will ask but would it make the process take longer? I hope so too

I'm not sure, but in the event they need more info or documents at least you can get on top of it to move the process along.

Ok thank you

Good afternoon. Any updates?

Good afternoon, no updates are the status only the date change yesterday still saying ready for interview

Are you looking at ceac.state.gov "visa application status"? Or you looking in your ceac acct?

Yes that’s where I’m looking

I email the embassy Tuesday but didn’t get back any result

Oh ok. That's the standard msg. I'm seeing that and I haven't yet interviewed. Did you email kingstoniv@state.gov for an update?

I mean did they respond to your 2nd email about why your in AR?

Yes but I didn’t get answer from them

Did they have your medical results when you interviewed? That could cause a delay too. I heard there is a backlog on some medicals.

Well I call NVC and they look on my case and said it’s in administrative processing and they can’t tell how long it will take it’s up to Jamaica embassy so I ask about the status not changing she told me there nothing they can do from NVC about changing status maybe the system in Jamaica having a problem

Yes they did have his medical at the time of interview

Yeah cause NVC is done with your case. It's in embassy's hands now. So Embassy has to tell you what's going on.

One last thing. Check that green site where you registered your embassy appointment and see what the status says in there. You know the site to which I'm referring? It has a green page....

No what’s the name of it?

https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-jm/iv

Here's the link did you ever register your appointment here?

Ok thank you will check and see them will get back to you

Did you register your interview on that site before you interviewed?

Yes I did I think for the dhl service to deliver the documents from embassy

Right! Check the site now, it gives visa updates

Ok , are you in Jamaica

It tells 221g history and all...hope you see something in there 🤞ðŸ¾

No I'm in the US

I'm sorry to see the trouble you are having :( Did you guys apply for an expedite on your case?

No we didn’t
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
** Not all cases are transfered
