Hi, fortunately he was able to attend the interview, all was okay with our case, except the consular officer asked my fiancé to fill out form ds 5535, after they review it they’ll send him instructions in regards to the visa. So we’re stuck waiting again.

I don’t think he needs another interview, the officers told him once he’s cleared, they’ll give him instructions on where to drop off the passport to get the visa issued. And yes, this delay sucks! :( we have to push our plans back now

No problem, it’s normal to be nervous, but my fiancé said the embassy staff is super friendly and helpful, they asked him basic questions, they didn’t even ask him for additional evidence, despite we had A LOT! Lol hopefully we can go through this quick and keep going with our life plans.

You have no idea how nervous I am! I was also worried that may cancel February appointments and then We will have to wait again! I have a lot of evidence as well. I feel guilty for killing a tree to print all the evidence. I have been denied for a tourist visa before, I think that’s why I am so nervous

He just told him everything was fine, he had all the documents needed, but he wanted him to fill out DS5535, which is a security check used mostly in Arab countries. He didn’t verbally approve him, but he said to turn in that form ASAP and he’ll get the visa to come to the US

I am sorry I am asking so many questions but I had my interview last Friday and I sent the passport on Tuesday with the medical results. On ceac website, it shows that my visa status is refused (this is on the 12th). During the interview the officer told me that He will issue me a visa, but the status has not changed and I am panicking now

Did you get the male officer? I believe his name is Eric, he’s the one that interviewed my fiancé. If it’s refused that means he put you under AP until they review or process whatever they need to process. He told my fiancé he couldn’t keep his passport but they’ll contact him soon to let him know how to send in his passport.

He is male. He’s what happened: I got a call from the embassy asking me if I would like to have my interview earlier. I accepted, ofc, but didn’t have time to do the medical. When I went to the interview in Feb 12, the officer was so positive and said that there’s nothing to review in my application, he will issue me a visa but he will give me back my passport because I need it to bring the medical results. He also asked me to send back my passport with the medical results. So I sent them on Tuesday, but my visa status hasn’t changed since then.

Oh okay, he was super nice and polite with my fiancé, like I said, he told him everything was okay, not worry etc it was something very simple. I believe you’ll get your passport soon, since its just your medical. It’s very stressful, but all we can do is wait. If you don’t hear anything this coming week, I would send them an inquiry and see what they say.
