Event Description

Embassy Review : thank god this journey is over now. visa approved. Ill just write a quick overview of the interview. We arrived at 6:20, my husband said there were 4 people in front of him. They opened the doors at 7:12 am and at that time the line was really long behind him. his ticket was 604 (4th one). They do not start till 8 am and he was out of the embassy at 9:34 am. i was shocked when he called me that early/ fast.

He said overall the experience was smooth and very professional. they mostly focused on asking him questions related to me (his sponsor).
My only hint is, be ready with documents. We had to prove domicile (re-establishing cause we both live in UAE). and i had all these documents ready. overall the interview took less than 5 minutes he said.

visa issued same day and passport was shipped around 7 pm (just waiting for it to arrive to local post office to pick it up)

best of luck!

Great congrats please let me updated what the questions they are asking at the time of interview. An what are the originals documents you bring for your petitioner????

Thank you. His name, his job, my name, how old our kids are, what I will work in the USA, where we will live, then they asked for the evidence for domicile. That's it. Original documents were police certificates, birth certificate, marriage certificate. Ds260 confirmation page, interview letter. That's it. Good luck

What about AOS??? they ask for original or photocopy is enough??? They ask any online chat conversation like what's app fb or etc???
blank avatar Ramar1 on 2020-02-11 said:
AOS is the ds260.. Only confirmation page They didn't ask for chat because we have 2 kids and married for 5 years

Hi, Your timeline was really fast, congratulations! I submitted around the same time and NVC had came back to be resubmit documents. Did you have to resubmit anything to the NVC CEAC page? After NVC accepts your documents, how does the interview get scheduled? Do they give you the date or do you select a date? Thank you in advance for your advise!
blank avatar Ramar1 on 2020-02-25 said:
Thank God, it did suddenly pass fast towards the end once the documents were qualified. Yes, I got rejected documents 3 times. Once all was accepted, nvc was the one that's set the appointment for me, but only. If you're applying as Cr1 visa l. If it's a K1, you need to schedule your own which takes a long time.

Hi Ramar, My I130 got approved and Im waiting for NVC acceptance now. My interview will be in Abu Dhabi. I wanted to ask how long was the was the wait time for the interview after NVC qualified your documents? Ive heard Abu Dhabi interview times were really long once I was hoping they are better now.
blank avatar Ramar1 on 2020-03-04 said:
Once documents were qualified it took 22 days so send the appointment letter. I'm on the Cr1 list though not K1. So I guess it depends. The K1 take a long time

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
