Event Description

Embassy Review : Had an IR1 visa on 12 Jan. I arrived at the Consulate 45 minutes before the actual interview time which was at 7.30am but was allowed to go in only at 7.30.Consulate staff were very kind and friendly. They give priority to pregnant women and women with children so I had to wait for almost two hours. Interview was very smooth and finished in nearly 10 minutes. Was only asked few common questions :- how I met my husband, how many times he visited, what he does and where we got married. They didn't ask for any additional documentation or photos although I saw others being asked to produce some pics and docs. Was told I am approved and given white paper to enable me collect my visa at DHL. Although the wait for reopening of the Embassy is excruciating, the interview process at interview day compensates it. Thank you God!
Rating : Very Good

@Taboye Yes, Embassy resumed services for cancelled interviews. Found out that through the generic email they sent to those with cancelled interviews.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
