Comments : We had an appt for an interview for the 485. As soon as we received the notice we received another that it was cancelled. We then received a request for a medical exam, and before we even completed that our I130 was approved. We literally have no idea why it’s going in this order, but it’s looking good so we won’t complain!

UPDATE: Our 485/130 was approved without an interview. Great, huh?

How long after getting the noa 2 did you hear from them again? And did they mail you something with your case #?
Khalid And Dawn on 2019-11-09 said:
Between 2 and 3 weeks. They emailed me something because I am set up to get emails. Then a week after that when I checked the ceac website it’s says “ready”. What I did not know was that after it says “ready” we are supposed to email for an interview at that point(K1 only, not CR1) they don’t send the interview in an email out to you so we wasted you know basically almost 3 weeks now. And my SO lost his phone so I have no way to get hold of him currently to let him know all this until he gets a new phone!

I filled out the paperwork to get emails when I sent the k1 papers and it’s been 3 weeks and haven’t heard anything. Is that the same thing for emails from the nvc? To sign up on ceac I have to have our case number right?
Khalid And Dawn on 2019-11-09 said:
Correct. To view the status on ceac you have to have the case number. I would give it one more week, and then I would go back on the uscis website and sign it and make sure you were set up for emails. I thought I was too, but when I signed in to the website I had to set it up again. If not, I think you may have to wait until you get the physical notification in the mail, or you can try to call.

He said the interviewer was tough but fair. All the questions were pretty standard, but one question we had not heard before was “what do you and your fiancé have in common?”

Hey congratulations on the approval can you tell me more about the minimum income part, what did they ask you for the requirements and everything? Thank you
Khalid And Dawn on 2020-03-08 said:
They just require a tax transcript, a statement from your bank showing when your account was opened and the current balance, along with the total amount deposited for the past year. Most banks will say they can’t give you the total amount deposited so we just printed a list of my ach deposits for the year.

Just the tax transcrip from the recent year ? And thank you so much

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
