Comments : Received an email as confirmation with case number 4/17. Still waiting on NOA1 in mail after two inquiries.

Update 11/15: Several inquiries and an email later, with no physical NOA1 for 485. Seems no one can give a proper care or answer why we can't get it sent. USPS confirmed it was never in their possession to begin with either.

Event Description

Embassy Review : Showed up 15 minutes before the appointment. Security was quick super nice and joked a little.

We got to #501, gave them the appointment letter and sat down. About a 15 minute wait and only a few people already there. Interview was pretty straight forward.

Husband (petitioner) was asked:

-His name
-When I was born
-Where I was born
-If he had started working yet
Then a bunch of questions off the 485.

Asked me:
-His birthday
-His parents names

Then he asked us how we met, when/who proposed, how many times we had seen each other before him moving here January this year. The gentleman was super nice, made small talk, and shared some cat stories. He didn't want any of our co-mingling evidence I had brought. He took our wedding photos and was impressed our cat wanted to wear a bowtie as our ringbearer lol.
Harassment Level : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
