What’s going on? Have you responded or received a response to your RFE?

I haven’t had an rfe. Waiting on noa 2. What about you?

We had an RFE and I responded and got NOA2 on 9/03 But haven’t heard anything since. I’m not sure why I thought your timeline said you got an RFE. Looks like you have about a month and get NOA2

Fingers crossed we all hear something soon!!

Congrats on NOA2!

Thank you thank you!!!

So happy things are moving along for you guys too!!

Yes! Our petition is now at the consulate and we are filling out the last of the Ds160 this weekend so just waiting for interview date!

Awesome! I’ve heard it’s taking a while to get a date. Hopefully things will pick up soon

WooHoo! Looks like you are consulate bound now!! Now the super long wait begins! Have patience!

Yes! Slowly dying over here haha. Did they send you anything in the mail? Or just an email?

An email with our case number. Nothing in the mail. Once you get the case number you can go to the ceac website and type it in under visa status. When it says “ready” you can fill out the DS160 and email the consulate for an interview. The email you get back will be an automated response but at least you’ll know they got that request. From what I hear after that it’s about a five month waiting period before you get an interview date. Which means you also then have to email them at some point and ask them for an extension of your petition because your petitions only good for like three or four months...

Hey ! Is it required to fill out the ds160 to start asking for the interview ? How many emails do you send per day ?
What does the automated email says !
Thank you so much

I don’t know if it’s required but it has to be filled out by the time you interview so it is best to do it before. When it’s completed you will get a confirmation that you MUST keep because you will need to bring it with you. The automated email just says something like we have received your request and will respond in a few business days(which they never do).

Okay ! Thank you no they also started to ask the DS160 for the medical exam ... so yeah better do it now ( I hear it’s a bit tough to fill ou ) for the automated message , i also receive every time I send an email , but like this week’s return doesn’t say the same as last week !

What does it say this time? The strange thing for us is that they are not even responding to my fiancé emails....

This :
Dear Applicant,
Thank you for writing,
We understand that you would like to schedule your appointment.
Your case has been already escalated for final resolution and you will receive a follow-up email with further guidance.

Sincerely,
U.S. Visa Service Desk

So when I send an email I get an auto response almost immediately, but when my fiancé sends one he does not get an auto response, And that concerns me because if the email from the consulate isn’t getting to him somehow he will not get our interview date. So I am not sure what to do.

You both will receive a date , I suggest to put his e-mail as a copy when you send emails

I have a question if you dont mind. How did you know the consulate received it. was it just the NVC ready status or was it something else?

When it changes to ready that means it’s at the embassy. Prior to that it said in transit.

Any word on your interview yet?

Yes! We just got our email that says our interview is March 2!

yay congrats on your interview!!!

Congratulations!!!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
