Consulate Review: Mumbai, India
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : November 3, 2019
Embassy Review : My Fiance appeared for the interview on November 1st, 2019. Initially there was an Indian guy who checked his paper work and pointed out 1 mistake to be corrected. After providing the correct paper work, my fiance was called for the interview where he was asked question about what does he like and dislike in me and visa versa. Second question was asked to provide affidavit of support, pay stubs and all. Interviewer asked in which city petitioner lived, about our marriage plans, who will be attending the wedding etc. It took 15 minutes in total. Interviewer was very pleasant. At the end interviewer congratulated my fiance and kept the passport and instructed there will be immigration fees need to be deposited once he will receive his passport back .
Rating : Very Good

Have you received nvc letter????
SugarB on 2019-10-16 said:
congrats for the interview date @passionate003 @Srp sponsor will receive email re: case received. beneficiary will receive a welcome letter and instructions thats packet 4. If you havent got the letter but have the case # that starts with BMB then you can go ahead File for DS 160, pay visa fee, schedule for interview , VAC and medical. Sometime it will take for that packet 4 to reach the beneficiary . i would suggest to email support at support-india@ustraveldocs.com after 2 weeks of case "Ready".

@sugarB can we schedule medical before we receive the packet 4 from the embassy? I’ve heard that for scheduling the medical we need an invite letter from the embassy? Lastly does the embassy send out the packet 4 via email or regular post?

@passionate003 That's great!! Congratulations..... Could you please tell us what are the documents you submitted at the time of interview? Many applicants are getting 221g for not submitting enough documents? Did u submit original tax returns, W2 of the sponsor or photocopies??
blank avatar GSKhanuja on 2019-11-19 said:
@Passionate003 I have the same question of what all documents you submitted and was it the tax returns or the tax transcripts you submitted?
blank avatar Passionate003 on 2019-11-19 said:
@GSKhanuja & @BKS since I am the sponser, I just provided transcription of I-Tax only and embassy did not asked for W-2. Rest were the original documents provided at the time of interview i.e. PCC and all. My fiance has entered the US on Nov 17th

blank avatar Ashu25 less than an hour ago said: Hi Congratulations on approval. Need your help ... please help us with queries I am from pune and got the nvc case number 1. pcc - what did you select as purpose of police verification in the online form? Is letter from petitioner that he will sponsor required for pcc? Or I134 f required for Pcc ?
blank avatar Ashu25 on 2019-12-01 said:
Hi, writing to you as i need help There are couple of queries for DS160 form and submission I have a B1/B2 visa and had applied for the same in April 2019 from my company, so the old account exists and i may have to continue with the same. After i login i can update my profile so i will update my personal email - earlier it was company email id. I’m assuming that the old email address is just a username at this point and doesn’t have any relevance. Correct? But i see the DS160 form as the older one, Now if i fill the new form will it automatically take the new form number or i may have to enter the same manually ? will it be okay ? We just don’t want to submit the application and have the old number mess anything up. Please advise on this. If this is confusing. And what did you select for PERSON /ENTITY paying for your trip ? Should I mention my current organisation details , as i am on notice period in my firm and will be not working at the time of interview?
blank avatar Passionate003 on 2019-12-01 said:
@anshu25 First of all are you applying for Ki1 visa or B1/B2 visa? Secondly I will prefer to fill new form manually just to avoid any confusion what so ever as information carried over from new form could possibly create with new login id create with new email id since you do not have access to your corporate id now if website allows you to create new one. If not then change your email ID and while selecting paying for your trip you would be selecting who so ever will be paying for fees. If you would be paying for visa fees then select self if petitioner is paying then petitioner.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
