March 12, 2021 - requested US embassy in Kiev for direct file. Requested as I live in Ukraine and wife has medical exception.
March 17, 2021 - received email from embassy approving direct file. Instructions on what documents needed to file I-130.
April 7, 2021 - notified embassy that all documents have been collected and ready to file I-130.
April 7, 2021 - Embassy emailed back with appointment of April 23, 2021 to come file I-130.
April 23, 2021 - arrived at embassy to file I-130/130A for wife and stepson. Filed I-864 Affidavit of Support. Paid fees for wife and stepson, interviewed by counselor, and notified that will be contacted later after documents were sent to be approved for direct file and all documents were good.
April 29, 2021 - received email saying "received the required clearance to proceed with the visa process". email contained instructions for medical exam, file DS-260 and documents needed for interview. Email stated to contact them after medical exams and ready for interview.
May 3, 2021 - filed DS-260
May 19, 2021 - wife and stepson had medical exams
May 20, 2021 - emailed embassy stating medical exams were completed and will be delivered to the embassy on May 21, 2021 via the medical clinic
May 20, 2021 - embassy emailed back giving interview appointment date/time of May 24, 2021 10:30am
May 24, 2021 - wife and stepson had interview and was approved. Now waiting to receive visa and necessary paperwork to enter USA. Plan is to move in August 2021
Jun 1, 2021 - hand delivered police records check to Kiev embassy
Jun 4, 2021 - received email from ustraveldocs saying documents have been sent
Jun 7, 2021 - picked up visa and other documents
July 27, 2021 - traveled from Ukraine and arrived. Entered into USA
August 11, 2021 - Social security cards received
August 21, 2021 - green cards received
