Happy to say our K-1 Visa was approved on 12/11/2019. Although, this process has been daunting and stressful, the interview process was seamless for my Fiance. We were very organized and had all the documents required per the Packet 3 Instructions and Checklist AND more. Documents submitted were:
-Intent to Marry Letter plus copy
-Passport plus copy of biographical page
-Birth Certificate plus copy
-Marriage Certificate plus copy (previous marriage)
-Divorce Certificate plus copy (previous marriage)
-Police Certificate plus copy (PLEASE ENSURE YOU HAVE THE CORRECT CERT. UNDER THE PRIVACY ACT)
-Signed Affidavit of Support (I-134) plus copy
-Two passport-style photos
Stay organized and ensure you bring all applicable documents requested on the Checklist, as well as proof, of relationship and U.S. Sponsor's proof of domicile, in case the Officer asks for this.
I was not allowed in with my Fiance and waited at the coffee shop across the street, where many others were waiting as well while their partners were in the interview.
We are happy to have accomplished such a big milestone! This forum has been a tremendous help! |

SaAa on 2021-04-27 said:hey guys...have you received your interview date yet? Our Biometric appoint was on 2020-02-03 (just a week before you guys) and we're still waiting for our interview date :/
Also, have you guys filed for EAD extension? We filed one 12 days ago and we're still waiting for our NOA.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
