Embassy Review : My fiance describes embassy as having multiple securoty checkpoints that you will have to go through before reaching specific area. There eill be frequent stops where your documents are checked and filed and you willthen recieve a number. Once that is complete you will follow direction of immigrant or non immigrant and wait. He describes being able to overhear pther people having their interviews as there is no secluded room, the interview is standing and around others. He could hear people getting denied and approved. Some people did awful at answering questions about their finace's and yes were denied. What was filed needs to match what you say or you will be called out on it and refused.

In our situation he was asked:

Who is petitioning for you?
How old is she?
Do you have kids? Does she?
Have you ever been married? Has she?
How did you meet and when?
Why has she only come to visit this amount of time?
Why marry in the US vs youre home country?
Can I see your photo album?

We were approved! He stayed confident! The consular really like our photo
album from what I heard so make your album the best you can. Use pictures showing natural settings and time with family. Be genuine in your responses. They can sense if you really know your partner or if this is fake. Good luck to all on this jouney because it isnt easy being a part form the one you love. Visa should be ready for pick up in 5-10 business days .

Overall he said it was a fine experience.

Embassy Review : Today was the day! I wanted to share our experience in case it helps anyone up next at this office.

My spouse and I arrived 15 minutes earlier than appointment time. Security verified our interview notice and IDs. At registration our temperatures were checked and my husband had finger prints taken and a photo. We were then given a number and told to wait in lobby. Cell phones are allowed if you are wondering. We kept them on silent and we wore business casual attire. However we saw many couples in jeans. Idk if that reflects poorly or officers do not care.

Our number was called 1.5 hours after appt time. We both walked toward the uscis officer but he stopped us and asked that I, wife, have a seat. He stated he only needed applicant. My husband returned to the lobby about 20 minutes after and he was without a decision. He stated he was never asked anything about our relarionship nor any pictures were reviewed! Mind you I worked hard on that album! He was told the decision would be made shortly and to follow up on Uscis case status using receipt number. He was asked minimal questions, such as:

Your name?
Your birthday?
Who are you married to?
What is her birthday?
What are you parents names?
Security questions on the i485 to verify-
Do you have any other docs you wish to submit that I do not already have?

Literally..that is it!

We left uncertain and kind of confused. The officer kept a straight face entire time my husband said. We never had a chance to talk about our marriage so we assumed the worst.

But....approved! Checked status online once we got home. We are awaiting approval letter and can see that card is being produced as of today. Wishing you all luck and love in your journey. You never know if you will be in and out like us or there an hour. Be prepared anyway.

Hi there. Was your EAD approved without biometrics being taken? If so, when were your last biometrics taken?

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
