Local US CIS Office Review: San Jose CA
Review Topic: cis_topic
Event Description
Review Date : July 27, 2021
Embassy Review : Friendly interviewer. Everything went quickly. Questions were; how did we meet, if i have a work, my husband’s work, how much is my salary, if i have insurance, if we have assets together, and what is my occupation. Then she asked for the yes or no question. I gave her a printed copy of our wedding pictures and pictures together in the USA. Good thing we went to Vegas a month before our interview, so I showed her our pictures and she asked the places in Vegas where we took the photo. She is very nice. Didn’t feel nervous at all. Approval will be after a month because my other papers are outside the state according to the interviewer. She told us that she will wait for it for her to approve my GC. Maybe those are the papers I gave at the airport cause she doesn’t have my medical copy. So i gave her a photocopy. I still have my combo card with me cause I renewed it so I can still work while waiting for my GC.
Harassment Level : Very Good

What process did you use to obtain a quick interview date? Filed DS-160, already had medical completed, etc.?
Renewable on 2019-09-13 said:
Best of luck in the interview!
Pjagbayani on 2019-09-14 said:
When my case was already in transit, I made my DS160 and paid for the visa fee. So when it was case ready, I was able to schedule my medical and interview immediately. Original interview date is 24 but I rescheduled it to 19 since there are slots. I’m also done with my medical.

Yes, back in early December 2020.

pjagbayani...congrats on the interview! I was wondering what did you mean by ‘my other papers are outside the state according to the interviewer’? Which papers?
Pjagbayani on 2021-07-27 said:
She didn’t tell what are the exact papers. She just said that some of my papers are in the other side of the state and she will wait for it. Maybe, she mean to say that it is in the other uscis office in which we are sending the papers when we file. The papers will not come from me. It’s internal. I assumed that those are the papers (from Philippine embassy) that I gave at my port of entry.

The interviewer said that it’s in the other side of the country. My husband corrected me. 😂

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
