Hi, I wonder when did the USCIS receive your RFE response? How long it takes them to update from your RFE received to Interview? They sent me my RFE out on 6/24 and my RFE was received on 7/25, but still it's been 46 days since they updated it as "Response to USCIS' RFE was Received", nothing changed. I'm super anxious right now, noticed that everyone is getting their interviews this month or early next month. Thank you so much!

Hi Pepper, Below is my timeline: I sent out the RFE response and it was delivered on August 7th, I was notified the same day by USICIS that they've received my response and my case status was changed to "We received your response to our Request for Evidence for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status. Our National Benefits Center office is working on your case again." (Very surprising how fast they updated the status). On August 14th my case status updated to "We are ready to schedule your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, for an interview." On August 28th my status changed to "Interview Was Scheduled". I received the notification letter in about a week. Honestly my case updated way faster than I expected. I was ready to wait for months... But my guess is that the processing time depends on what type of RFE they asked for and it could take more time for some cases because the immigration offices needs to work on the documents you sent them. My RFE request was for birth certificate so I guess it's relatively easy for them to review. There is a possibility that the documents you sent was not sufficient and they need extra evidence and sent you another RFE...? Well the whole AOS process is about patience so just relax and wait for their response. You might get next week :) And you can always call the customer service number and ask a Tier 2 officer if they have more information on your case. Good luck!

That's so sweet of you for everything you've told me here above! Yes, mine is asking for affidavit of support, which I originally submitted it with details but somehow they asked again....:( I'll call them the first thing in the morning tomorrow and will keep you posted. I'm truly happy for you and hopefully all will be great during your interview!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
