Hi. Yes I did file a ER and it was accepted. Im not sure what's going on but a lot of ppl have been picked out of the NVC and sent to Rio. I know of 5 other ppl who did ask for ER and they also got picked out of NVC and sent to Rio. Look out for an email saying your interview was canceled, even though you didn't have one, that means the consulate picked your case. Also, it wouldn't hurt to send an ER just to try. They have been approving a lot of them.
