Comments : I came in the US on 2014 with a B2 visa. Married my long time girlfriend in 2018.

On 9/16/2019 Uscis scheduled my AOS interview on 10/31/2019. Our appointment was at 2:20pm. We checked in at 2:00pm and were called in at 2:45pm. We brought our 11month old baby with us during the interview. Trust me, it helps. Lol

The officer greeted us and explain the whole process and asked us to take the oath. We took our seat, fingerprinted me and took a photo of me, then interview began.

1. IO asked for both our driver's license

2. Questions to my wife: He asked my wife's name, when did she came in the US (she is a naturalized citizen), reason why she came back home in 2014

3. He asked me my name

4. How many times i have been in the US? I said 2 times. And asked me again what was the reason of my most recent visit in the US.

5. He asked me if i still have the proof of my first visit in the US. I said no because that was 15 years ago.

6. He asked my wife how we met and when did our relationship started

7. He asked for the original copy of my birth certificate, our daughter's birth certificate, our marriage certificate, and my wife's passport.

8. He asked why did i decided to overstay my visa and did i start working in the US.

9. He asked if there's anything we want to add on the documents we submitted to help our case get a decision. I gave him our car insurance, medical insurance, IRS joint tax, my wife's 3 months pay stub, and some more photos of us.

10. I485 yes or no questions. One of them is have you ever been denied a visa in the US. I said yes. That was the time i was applying for F1 visa while im here in the US with a B2 visa but was denied. IO just made a note of that.

11. He asked me to sign the i485 again

He said he is recommending us for approval and gave us a note regarding our interview.

On 11/01/19 status on my uscis account was updated to case was approved.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
