Consulate Review: Nigeria
Review Topic: Waiver/Admin Review
Event Description
Review Date : April 27, 2021
Embassy Review : On the day of my interview, I was refused based on the ban at that time. But the consular gave me a paper that shows I will be given a waiver, and once my waiver is approved then I will get my visa I smiled and left. Guyssssss the wait was crazy. My case was updated up to 7 times and on the CEAC website it was showing refused. There was a lady I met on the day of my interview, she was interviewed before me by the same consular in window 4, we were in the same shoes so we kept calling each other to see if there was any update. One day she called me this was February mind you the interview was Dec 14th. So February she called me and said her visa has been issued, I rushed to check mine it was still showing refused. To cut the long story short my case status changed almost 4 months after my interview, which was in April. Some people went for their interviews January and got issued the next day.
Please guys no two cases are the same, the fact that you are both on the same Visa category doesn’t make it the same some get theirs faster and some have to wait, it’s the reality. But I thank God almighty for making the whole process worth the while.
Sharing love and light from here. And I hope everyone gets their goodnews soon

Hi! Pls what did you do to get an interview date cuz I stated the same process since 2018 and finally gotten an interview date at Match 2019, only for it to be canceled due to the covid19 and since then I haven't heard anything from the embassy yet and is so frustrating 😤

My DQ was May 2019. Those that got their interviews canceled haven’t been rescheduled yet. You are not alone on that. This is my very first interview letter.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
