Comments : Resubmitted one of the IV documents to NVC on 2019-08-14; my wife got a new passport before the interview and the Consulate Officer asked us to upload the new passport to CEAC and come back in the afternoon, which we got approval in the same day. I went to interview with my wife and the CO asked my wife a few questions such as how we met, when I moved to USA, how many times I visited my wife, what my job is, etc. The CO asked to review the chat logs and we gave them the entire packets (before and after marriage) and he flipped through the packets. After that, everything was okay except the new passport which we resolved in the same day. The interview process was smooth in general.

Port of Entry : Dallas
POE Date : 2019-12-28
Got EAD Stamp : Yes,Passport Stamp
Biometrics Taken : Yes
Harassment Level : 0
Comments : I was with my wife and we entered in Dallas. There were a lot of people and we waited around an hour to get to the counter. The only question asked for my wife was where the sealed packet was, which I replied it was online. The officer asked me several questions which were normal for my regular entry (such as how long I stayed outside USA, where I live, and what food I brought with me, etc.). The officer asked us to go to the processing room and we waited for about half an hour and the officer handed back my wife's passport with entry stamp and no questions asked. Generally good experience but make sure you give yourself enough time for transfer when booking the flight!

Hi Simon, You mentioned to resubmit one IV document. Do you mind to tell me what document that is so I can prevent it? Thanks.

Hi Trucphong, yes. I originally submitted the tax transcript and attachments to the tax transcript (e.g. W-2, 1040 schedules) as one PDF, but they expected those to be in separate PDFs; otherwise, everything else was okay. I resubmitted the same documents but in separate PDFs and got approved the second time. Good luck to your submittal!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
