Consulate Review: Tunisia
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : December 10, 2019
Embassy Review : My husbands interview was Dec 5th 2019 at 9am. He got there 8:50am so he was last in line with around 20 others. He gave his documents and was told to sit. Took three hours to call him up he was last. The interviewer asked him to tell her about our relationship. She asked about my birthday and said doesn't it bother you that your wife is older? My husband said no my wife is beautiful and looks younger than she is. I am 20 years older. He also told her I don't like drama that comes from young women. She asked what we had in common. My husband said our beliefs are close, we think alike, very compatible, and have the same degrees in business and fiance. She asked him how many children I have and does it bother him. He told her he loves my boys and they need him as a father. She gave him back his passport and a paper saying administration processing. Two business days later they sent him an email saying completed with AP and bring your passport during business hours and your visa will be issued 24-48 hours.

How did you get approved so quickly please. Was this expedite? Direct file? Anything else? Ty
blank avatar Rachel & Khairy on 2019-06-29 said:
Not expedited I heard if you submit the K3/i129f it will trigger the i130 to be approved. I got a receipt date for the i129f on May 26. My i130 was approved on June 25th and the i129f denied June 26th. Four others I know of had the same experience. 30 days after submitting the k3 approval.

Both my i130 and the i129f went to Nebraska. I didn't believe others submitting the k3 gives you an approval but now I believe. It is free to submit with the 797 receipt of i130. I didn't send originals with my k3 either only copies.

On 9/11/2019 I had to resubmit one form from aos. Everything else was approved that day.
blank avatar GAMAJM on 2019-12-10 said:
Congrats! Did you go for a second interview or they just put you in AP for a few days since it shows you finally got approved!
blank avatar Rachel & Khairy on 2019-12-10 said:
Thank you! Just put my husband in AP for a couple days. They called this morning and said your administration processing is complete please bring in passport. I couldn't update my profile without showing a second interview date.

Is your biometrics appointment for lifting conditions really 2021-06-30? It is unusual to have one before you file I-751.
blank avatar Rachel & Khairy on 2021-11-01 said:
Yes we filed the green card renewal by mistake instead of the I-75. They gave my husband an appointment that he attended for the biometric on June 30, 2021. They said it is valid for 18 months so no need to go again. He will be applying for citizenship by next year anyway probably before conditions are removed.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
