Hi, did you get an interview date yet?
blank avatar Hiimtab on 2019-07-17 said:
Not yet. We are filling in the DS-160 now. We will schedule the interview after that is complete.

Did the embassy contact you the petitioner when they received it from the NVC or the beneficiary dear?
blank avatar Hiimtab on 2019-08-05 said:
Thank you so much! We are hopeful. 😊
blank avatar Hiimtab on 2019-08-05 said:
No. I had to email the NVC for our case number. Then used the website to track it until our case was ready.

@george Judea Did you schedule your interview? I will be scheduling mine this week once Ghana receives the details.
George Judea on 2019-08-05 said:
@Hiimtab my dear which website is that? Becos I received an email from the NVC that they will be sending our case to the embassy and that was like two weeks ago...
George Judea on 2019-08-05 said:
@Tish_Ghana I learned you can not schedule the interview until you’ve heard from the Ghana embassy so I’m still waiting for them..

https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx# to check with your NVC number. Once it says ready, you can pay the fee and fill out the DS-160 and then you will be able to schedule your interview. We never got anything from the embassy and we were still able to schedule the interview after we paid the fee and completed the DS-160.
blank avatar Tish_Ghana on 2019-08-05 said:
@hiimtab Thank you for the information. Do we fill out the DS-160 before we pay the embassy fee?
blank avatar Hiimtab on 2019-08-06 said:
You have to pay the fee first. They want the receipt number on the DS-160.

Hell Hiimtab, is your bank statement part of the requirement for your visa interview? Am also waiting for my case to be transferred to Accra. But I have already received my case number from NVC via email. They said I should wait while they send it to the Ghana consulate.

Hi Royal Frank. The bank statement is not specifically required. But I am including all of mine from this year as proof of income for the affidavit of support (I-134). It's best in Ghana to have all of the evidence you can prepared so they have absolutely no reason to deny you the visa.

Hi, how was the interview?
blank avatar Tish_Ghana on 2019-10-08 said:
Congrats!!! Please write a review of how it went

We were approved! I stayed outside the embassy since the American fiancé is not allowed in. I waited outside for him for 4 hours. When he came out he said everyone inside was really nice. And the even the interviewer was happy to see us getting married since we seem so well suited for each other. They said his visa should be ready in about 3 weeks. I'm so excited!!! On to the next chapter of our life together!!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
