Hello Cemmm! In Turkey the police certificate is obtained from the court house/ Adliye Sarayi? Is that correct? I am a resident here, so I am a bit confused where to obtain it exactly. Also do you have any idea if I schedule my interview for medical 3 days before the Embassy interview. E.g. My visa interview is 19th of September on a Thursday, I was thinking I would schedule my medical for Monday the 16th. Think that is enough time? Because I will be driving from Istanbul so dont want to make 2 separate trips back and forth.
blank avatar Cemmm on 2019-08-12 said:
Hello! Yes, you can get it from Adliye Sarayı. I'll get it from e-devlet. If that is an option for you it's of course so much easier. About the medical, yes I think what you are doing makes sense. I read that It takes them two days to give you the results. You have your medical on 16th and get your results on 17th and you can have that extra day (18th) in Ankara just in case something goes wrong. And on the 19th you can have your interview. My interview is on the 9th and it's a Monday. So I have to have my medical on the 5th and I'll get the results on the 6th and I will spend the weekend in Ankara and on Monday have the interview. I'll definitely share my experience with you.

Hey Cemmm! So I am just wondering if you have an idea when they deliver the passport back to you through PTT, do they call, SMS, or give a tracking number to know when to pick up the passport? I know I havent had the interview yet. Just curious about how will I know the passport reached the PTT office I picked. Thank you.
blank avatar Cemmm on 2019-09-03 said:
Hey! I'm sure they will let us know how to track the passports. I'll let you know for sure after my interview next week.

Congratulations! I will be happy if you write a short description. Thanks. We have our interview 11th Oct - Friday. So shouid we take med exam on 9th or earlier 8th Oct? and if interview time is 8-30 - how long does it last? How was the atmosphere?
blank avatar Cemmm on 2019-09-10 said:
Thank you so much. I think you can have your medical on 9th and get the results on 11th and have the interview on 11th. I wrote about my medical on Sam & Yehia's timeline. You can read it there. My interview was at 8:45. I was there at 8:00. After waiting for 10 minutes they called 8:45 appointments to the line. You go through two security checks and then they give you a number. They first called me to take my documents and I waited another 10 more minutes. The second time they called my number for the interview. This nice American lady asked what city I am going to in America, my fiance's job, how we met, how long we were together for, have we met each other's families, what are our plans for the wedding and what my plans are when I move to America. It was a very smooth conversation and then she said my visa was approved and I can get the passport in 5 business days. She also gave me a paper stating my spousal rights and then I left. I was done by 9:45. Nothing unexpected. It was fast and easy. Don't take anything else with you but just your documents. No bags, no electronics, etc. Please let me know how it goes. :) If there is anything else you want to know, let me know.

I miss-typed about the medical. You can have your medical on 9th and get the results on 10th and have the interview on 11th.
Sam & Yehia on 2019-09-11 said:
Really happy for your approval Cemmm! Glad to hear it went smoothly. Wishing us all waiting the same luck! Did they say how they will notify you about the passport? Email to pick it up from the local PTT?
blank avatar Cemmm on 2019-09-13 said:
Thank you so much. I just got a text from PTT with a tracking number stating the passport is on its way. I will probably have it in hand on Monday which is exactly 1 week from my interview.

Or Today! haha! Yay congrats! And save travels

See you got an interview date already! Congratulations 🎉 I just had my biometrics appointment today at Syracuse NY

Thank you so much! It's definitely happening faster than K-1 :) The Denver office is a fast one I think. I hope you'll get your interview date soon. Best of luck.

Congrats on the approvals! During the consular interview, were you all asked for an signed original copy (not scanned/copied) of the letter of intent to marry or did you submit a scanned one?

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
