Embassy Review : Had a 1pm interview on the 11th of June.

I'm from Ontario - I didn't transfer but somehow my interview ended up in Vancouver... It was well worth the money spent on airfare considering how quick it was! We stayed in the Travelodge in North Vancouver. NOT downtown, but within a short ($10) cab ride to downtown. Checked out the Aquarium, the suspension bridge, Science World and a large portion of downtown.

INTERVIEW
Arrived at 12:45, went up to the door on the aforementioned incredibly not American embassy looking building. The lady there told me my interview wasn't until 1 and to come back then. Okaaaay. So fiance and I went and sat down on some benches just on the other side of the embassy. Two other couples showed up (I later learned both K3s) and went right in. So I went back up, previous lady was gone and new ones let me right in... of course, now I was last in line. Thanks lady! Security check was easy, as I knew what I couldn't bring.

Up to the 20th floor, through security again and onto the interviewing room. Went up when called and handed in all my information. Was told interviews would begin at 2pm and to have a seat. I tried to initiate a bit of conversation with the other interviewers, rather unsuccessfully. Oh well!! I was called up last for my interview. Standard questions... how we met, what he does, what his parents do, siblings. Then he asked about what I do and about my previous entry refusal and US visits. He asked if I was fingerprinted when I was denied entry - I was - and then said he needed to redo my fingerprints ($85). Then said if fingerprints checked out I could pick up my visa the next day at 2:30.

Showed up at 2:30 the next day, was wisked right up and given my visa!

No problems!

Everyone was super nice and friendly.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
