Hi guys! Did you ever make it through the NVC process?

We didn't start yet — I haven't paid the 2nd fee. Between the US government's responses to the police protests and the complete bungling of COVID, we're no longer sure that the US is the right place for us. I'd rather not pay another chunk of money just yet.

Also, consulates have stopped holding visa interviews since March. You can't move through the process, even if you want to.

Oh really? I just saw another couple get approved at the consulate in the Czech Republic :) But I totally understand how you are feeling. My husband and I have been separated for months and with the absolute chaos here, it has been making me question if we should be here too.

AFAIK consulates haven't started holding interviews again since March -- at least, according to their website. They're open for "limited routine citizen services" like passport renewals and stuff. Can you link me to the other couple who got approved here? I'd like to message them and see what's up. My wife is mega skeptical about moving to the US now, and although the region we'd be going to has COVID relatively under control, it's still a ton of uncertainty. Plus, shootings.

Yes! Here is their timeline. Maybe you can message them and ask what they did to be able to get their interview.https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=355966 I wish you both luck with whatever you end up choosing!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
