Hey guys! Have you received any updates on your case?
blank avatar DonaldPB on 2020-02-27 said:
no. just the thought of the legal immigration process as applied to a 100% disabled veteran born and bred American, makes me sick. if i hear "all lines are busy now, please try your call again later" i'll go postal. if your question was meant to feed the flames you're a sick person.

No, actually. I was checking the timelines that came up under the Vermont transfers to see if anyone has some positive news. My friends are also waiting to hear back after their transfer from Nebraska. I'm sorry to hear about your struggles. Did you contact your congressman at all?
blank avatar DonaldPB on 2020-02-28 said:
Not yet. I did file a complaint with the Ombudsman with HSD and that was ignored with a three sentence statement telling me I have nothing to complain about. I really didn't want to file a congressional inquire in fear of retribution. Submitting a request to the Ombudsman, seemed to be a gentle nudge that might attract some attention without making anyone angry. Being patient and playing by the rules has always worked for me in the past, but not this time. Thanks for interest, and suggestion.

No worries! If you don't feel comfortable with contacting a congressman yet, I completely understand. I see you mentioned you are disabled, have you tried to apply for an expedite on your case due to medical reasons? USCIS is pretty stone cold when it comes to expedites, but I have seen them granted on medical grounds. If you can prove having your wife live separately from you is an undue burden, they may be able to speed it up. Even if they can't at USCIS, once it hits the NVC you can try again. If they expedite it, it skips the NVC stage entirely and goes straight to the embassy. The consulate/embassy where the interview is supposed to take place ultimately makes the decision on whether or not to accept the expedite. Your wife appears to be Filipina, and I've seen a lot of people get the expedites from Manila for things less serious like birthdays, anniversaries, etc. I wish you all the luck with your case and I hope you hear back soon!

I'll look into that. The VA just awarded me 100% disabled with a special for aid and attendance. You're really amazing for taking the time to provide me with information I can use. I can't thank you enough and will keep you posted.

I callled USCIS at 3 am my time and requested expedited service. That was about 10 days ago and I can still hear the laughter. I guess they leave me no choice but to request congressional or senatorial intervention.

I checked case status on line and saw the I-130 was approved on the 12th of Mar 2020 but will not received the NOA-2 until 27 March 2020. Maybe.

I keep getting a screen after I try to enter the site a screen pops up that tells me I'm "banned". I cannot find out the answer why. I'd post this as a question to the message board but this is as far as I can get. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
IsItLekker on 2020-03-25 said:
Congratulations on your I-130 approval! Are you getting the banned screen for Visa Journey or for the USCIS website?
blank avatar DonaldPB on 2020-03-26 said:
Thank you. VJ. I get emails from them and that's how I get here but I can't get any farther.

It gets better. When I looked at my status online. It's says I should get the notice by 27 March 2020. When I contacted USCIS and said that the chances of receiving any mail in two days are very slim. They told me to complete a form and pay a fee. I explained that because of the virus no mail or anything else is moving here in the Philippines but they just ignore that and tell me to submit a form and pay a fee.

now I'm banned from this site, I logged in on another machine submitted a help ticket. I was instructed to click on a hyperlink and change my password. did that, still couldn't get in. so now the only thing I do is look at my own timeline and only when I get an email informing me that someone's comments who did the consulate interview needs to be rated. btw, I'm in the Philippines and if you don't know what's happening here check it out on YouTube.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
