Event Date
Port of Entry : Los Angeles
POE Date : 2007-09-14
Got EAD Stamp : No
Biometrics Taken : Yes
Harassment Level : 10
Comments : CBP guy powertriped a bit. Reminded Sheila that he didn't have to admit her if he didn't think her intention to get married was legitimate. Also he said that if she wasn't married within 90 days then "they" were going to come get her. Process took about 30 minutes and was uncomfortable and unwelcoming.

Consulate Review: Sydney, Australia
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : December 22, 2007
Embassy Review : people at the consulate were really nice and the whole process was efficient and nice. Spent about 3 hours there. I had a preliminary interview with one lady who reviewed all my documents and said she was going to suggest to her supervisor to approve the visa. Then another lady confirmed it was approved. I left a return envelope and the passport with visa showed up about 3 days later.

This has been the most pleasant part of the visa process thus far.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
