Consulate Review: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : May 7, 2019
Embassy Review : Went smoothly. Got there at 6:30am and went into the consulate at about 7:15am. First you fill out a form about contact information then they help you order your documentation. Then you get called up to go over the documentation and then you wait to be called up again for the actual interview. The interview was very short and the worker actually asked me the petitioner more questions than my fiance the beneficiary. We were told we were approved and to wait about 10 business days for the visa and packet to be ready.
Rating : Very Good

If you do not mind, I was wondering if this long time between NOA2 and the interview was your option, or was it the only available date in Rio de Janeiro Consulate?

It was the first available date in Rio

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
