You have the exact same timeline as we do!! My fiance is in Marrakesh and I am in Seattle. What about you two? Isn't the waiting the worst part of it all? ~dawn
Shekeya on 2019-07-26 said:
The wait is t by e worst. We miss each other so much and can not wait until it's over with. We hope not much longer.
Khalid And Dawn on 2019-07-26 said:
I think NOA2 by next week I hope! I don’t imagine that the actual visas will happen until January though. It would be nice if they were here for Christmas but I don’t have my hopes up that that will happen
Shekeya on 2019-07-26 said:
I know I'm hoping NOA2 by next week as well but I would love him here by the holidays lol. When where you last in Morocco? I went back in February this year.
Khalid And Dawn on 2019-07-26 said:
I was there in January. It was actually the first time that I’ve ever been there. I have known my fiancé though for 16 years online...We have emails dating back that far so I think will be good to go for not needing any extra evidence and since they have not asked to this point I don’t think they will. Where will you guys be living in the US?
Shekeya on 2019-07-26 said:
Im in south Carolina
Khalid And Dawn on 2019-07-26 said:
Oh yeah that’s a minute from Seattle for sure! We would be so excited to get together with others who have made this journey! I am hoping to go again when he is ready to come here and we can fly together, but we will just have to wait and see how it all plays out
Shekeya on 2019-07-26 said:
I know ive been wanting to go back for vacation. But if wasn't sure on approval.
Khalid And Dawn on 2019-07-26 said:
My fiancé is asking where in Morocco is your fiancé?
Shekeya on 2019-07-26 said:
Casablanca
Khalid And Dawn on 2019-07-27 said:
Congratulations on your NOA2. We just got an RFE. :(
Shekeya on 2019-07-27 said:
Oh no! Does that mean you have to send more documents?
Khalid And Dawn on 2019-07-27 said:
Yes. And I won’t know for a few days until I get the requirements in the mail. :(
Shekeya on 2019-07-27 said:
It'll work out I'm sure "esha allah"
MAMR on 2019-08-21 said:
Our of curiosity how many times did you meet before applying ? We met once and I will be back to Morocco 3x before interview. Do you think that’s sufficient?
Shekeya on 2019-08-21 said:
Nope we meet just once in Feb. We have to save money

Khalid And Dawn on 2019-08-21 said:
We only met once as well! I think it is fine as long as you can prove an ongoing relationship!
MAMR on 2019-08-21 said:
But it’s ok to have the proof of subsequent visits at the interview? I submitted proof of the first time and my travel itinerary for October when I’m going in the 129f packet. I swear this is all making me physically ill I’m so nervous. I keep reading that they pretty much have their mind made up before the interview.

Absolutely have any extras with you, just make sure you have what they request. I don’t know if they have their mind made up before the interview. Every interview is different. Don’t let it make you sick. If the relationship is truth that will shine through all of the paperwork and in the interview!
MAMR on 2019-08-21 said:
Thank you. We just really want to be together. It’s so hard. It makes me feel better talking to other people going through the same thing.
Khalid And Dawn on 2019-08-21 said:
I agree! I have known my fiancé for 16 years online. I finally made the trip to meet him and he was everything I thought he would be! There is 15 years between us(I am 54, he is younger). I sometimes am sad I didn’t go sooner, but then I realize this was probably how it was meant to be—maybe we just weren’t ready in each of our lives until now!
Khalid And Dawn on 2019-08-21 said:
We got an RFE after NOA1 and they received my response to that on the eighth but I have not heard anything else. Hoping to heat something(NOA2) within the next week!
MAMR on 2019-08-21 said:
That’s great! Everything happens for a reason. Best of luck to you all. I’ll be following along and struggling to be patient!
Shekeya on 2019-09-14 said:
OMG have any body heard any thing?
Khalid And Dawn on 2019-09-14 said:
Got our NOA2. The petition approval says it’s good to the end of the year so I am hoping we will get the notice that the paperwork is ready at the consulate by then. The waiting is so awful.

Any notice guys?
Khalid And Dawn on 2019-10-09 said:
No. I thought the NVC contacts in like 4 weeks but it’s been since Sept 3 so I am thinking of calling them, but I am so busy lately I literally have no Tim!
Shekeya on 2019-11-01 said:
Do you guys have the website or link to check the status of your application. I found another one.
Khalid And Dawn on 2019-11-01 said:
Just the ceac website. It just says “ready”
Shekeya on 2019-11-01 said:
Lol yep!
Khalid And Dawn on 2019-11-01 said:
You know there is a Moroccan Visa Journey Facebook page? There is also a women who love moroccan men page too. Both are really great groups!

Shekeya on 2019-11-15 said:
Am I suppose to submit stuff to the NVC before we get an interview date
Khalid And Dawn on 2019-11-15 said:
No. Once you get the email from NVC that says your documents(The petition) has been forwarded to the consulate, it takes 1-2 weeks for the case to say “ready” on the CEAC website. When it says “ready” your fiancé can fill out the DS160. Have you received your case number? Not the uscis number. Your case number should start with CSB(for the Casablanca consulate)
Shekeya on 2019-11-20 said:
Yes we did the D'S and we have the case number.
Khalid And Dawn on 2019-11-20 said:
You can send an email to support-morocco@traveldocs.com requesting and interview. Then it’s just a matter of waiting, and I hear wait times are about 5 months. :(
Shekeya on 2020-01-02 said:
We havnt received an interview date yet and Jan 22 will be 5 months but i wonder if I could still sent 2018 taxes instead 2019 taxes?
Khalid And Dawn on 2020-01-02 said:
Well, if you haven’t filed 2019 then you definitely could. If that will be better for you then just wait to file your 2019 taxes!.
Shekeya on 2020-01-02 said:
No im trying to avoid sending them 2019
Khalid And Dawn on 2020-01-02 said:
Don’t file it then until April. End of January is 5 months then you should be able to wait. Once you get your interview I believe they are about a month after notice. You can also pay the small fee the IRS charges for an extension: gives you until the end of Oct to file.
Shekeya on 2020-01-02 said:
Thanks
Shekeya on 2020-02-10 said:
Guys please help with clarity if you can. So my fiancee went to do his medical last week. His x-ray was done but the doctor told him he needed to come back in 2 months for another x-ray, but his interview is Friday. What would you guys do?
Khalid And Dawn on 2020-02-11 said:
I would go to the interview. Hopefully the doctor did not put anything in there about needing to come back. With that said, what did the doctor tell him the reason for needing a second xray was?
Shekeya on 2020-02-11 said:
The doctor didnt say. He just told me the doctor told him to come back in Two months b/c the x-ray wasn't clear.
Shekeya on 2020-09-12 said:
X-ray was clear still waiting like everyone else! 🕛

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
