Just for clarity, the consulate received your package on DEC 13, and you had your interview on DEC 20?
Did you do some items ahead of time? Medical, forms, etc?

Hi, nope. I just kept looking at the status, and once it changed to "Ready" I immediately went to the USTRAVELDOCS site to schedule an appt. By chance, we were able to get an interview on the 20th. On the 17th and 18th we did the medical exam then on the 20th we had the interview. We were approved same day, and status was changed to ISSUED 2 days later. Took about 6 days to get the actual visa.

Sorry, I meant waiting on removal of conditions.

We got an extension for 24 months on the removal of conditions, which expired in Sept 2022. We filed N400 when eligible, jun 2022. Interview is Nov 19.

We got that same extension. We will file for naturalization as soon as eligible. Thanks for the reply.

No problem! That extension letter came in handy when we went to Canada. Borget agent asked for the letter..saw it and handed it right back. Always travel with that letter! :)

do you think applying online is faster than by mail ?
Mikeandgeraldine on 2022-12-22 said:
I honestly don't know. All I can go by is our situation. Filing online was definitely straightforward and easy (in my opinion)

Could you please share the interview experience in philadelphia
Mikeandgeraldine on 2022-12-22 said:
The interview was pretty straightforward. It all started eith pleasantries (hi..how are you etc) The officer (she was friendly) asked 6 questions:
1. What is the rule of law
2. In what month do we vote for president
3. If both president and vice president can no longer serve who becomes president
4. What does judicial branch do
5. Where is statue of liberty
6. Why does the flag have 13 stripes
After that shw said congratulations you passed your civics test
She then asked all of yes / no question from the application
Then she asked so.e badic basic questions about my marriage and family and work. She said the reason was that we never had the ROC interview .
She then called my husband via cell to confirm some info from. The tax returns as i told her I didn't prepare our taxes.
That was a quick call..then she said she needed to move my ROC case file electronically to be with her. It would take about a week. She was spot [on, as we saw updates saying case was moved then approved. The. We got oath date.
Hope that helps! Beat advice is to get flash cards and learn those question as it was completely random. We studied as a family and eventually I memorized the answers.
Happy holidays!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
