Comments : Best advice I can give to couples going through the K1 is to forget about it during wait periods. Be diligent, be ready, do the work, but when it comes to how long it takes for the approvals, NOAs, etc, there is really nothing to do besides continue to live your life the best you can.

Port of Entry Review
Event Date
Port of Entry : Las Vegas
POE Date : 2019-08-02
Got EAD Stamp : No
Biometrics Taken : Yes
Harassment Level : 0
Comments : POE was Las Vegas. They took me to the other room, but there wasn't any stress, just their normal procedure on a K1 visa. Took them a little while to process (meaning, I had to wait while someone checked the paper work in a back office) and then they let me go. :) it added 15-20 minutes more to the whole customs experience. Very easy and chill.

Consulate Review: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : June 22, 2019
Embassy Review : It is literally impossible to be lost or unsure of what to do. Two consulate employees are in charge of instructing the interviewees from the gate to the official. It's important to be ready and have your documents in order. They are not requiring the 5x5cm pictures anymore - those are taken at CASV along with biometrics. Further proof of relationship was also not asked - although I recommend you still bring it. You never know! My interview was in english and I was asked questions about the relationship and the only thing I was asked that wasn't information we had already provided was aboout my proposal. After less than three minutes, the official said everything looked fine and my visa was approved.
Rating : Very Good

You should be receiving your notice from the NVC very soon if you haven’t already. Maybe around 4/14.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
