Consulate Review: Frankfurt, Germany
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : June 5, 2021
Embassy Review : Getting straight to the point, the consular officer asked some basic questions.
How, when and where did you meet? He sent me away from the window and asked my husband then he called me back and sent my husband away and asked me the same exact questions. Then he called my husband back and asked several questions about his PCC. He then said all of our documents are in order but he wanted to look more into the PCC. He gave back all our original documents except for the PCC. He also kept my husband's passport. He then gave my husband a white 221g which was in German language. I asked if they had one in English and he said they ran out of English ones. I then asked how long will it be for him to look into whatever he needed to check out. He said a couple of weeks. It is now going on one month and the only change I have seen is the date on CEAC. So according to that, his case has been touched last on May 20, 2021. If this takes too long I intend to have a Writ of Mandamus filed to get an answer. I think it is unfair to get a 221g when they had a year to process all of our documents and do all the background checks. What is the year of processing for? He didn't ask for any additional documents just that he wants to scrutinize his police clearance certificate which is the exact same certificate they had since 2019.
The wait was kind of long for the amount of people there. The building was really empty (about 10 other people). I went with my husband who was interviewing. FYI the kiosk for putting electronics away is way down the street off of the premises near the tram station.
Rating : Very Poor

Am so sorry, did you get denied? Why?
Thekingandqueen on 2019-10-17 said:
they didn't give a reason. We are left guessing and it was sent back to USCIS with the recommendation that the petition be revoked. We have to wait to hear the real explanation from USCIS

We are a darkskin couple with an upcoming interview that's why I'm very scared right now. All I see is approvals from Germany and then this. It's sad. Wish you two all the best while I'm hoping for the best for us. God bless.

After so much stress it appears like you ended up being able to get your Visa. Congrats! Did you end up just waiting or ended up filing a Writ of Mandamus?

Thanks. We waited, got the visa with just a few days left before it expired. We are here in USA now finally and happily

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
