Comments : With my petition of my wife and three kids, We have gotten the NVC uploaded for 3 out 4 of the family .
One child still needs to get entered at NVC, slows us down. His petition must have been in a different box.

NVC did accept my expedite request, all four now send to Manila Embassy as a group, awaiting for interview date.

I choose a later Interview date for travel arrangements

When doing the St. Luke's Medical, we had to the extra three day sampling for the sputum test. 5 day Smear Test Negative, waiting for 8 week culture test results.

Consulate Review: Manila, Philippines
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : July 29, 2019
Embassy Review : A big week, it started with our completion of eight week from the sputum culture test on July 24. Reviewing that we started our Medical in Manila at St. Luke’s on May 20 and were introduce to the protocol for the extra testing for TB. The three days of sampling and then the three day Sputum Smear test results. We were negative on the all three smear test, but still had to wait for the eight week culture test results. At the time both I and my spouse were confused and worried. (Thank you to the forum for information to calm my nerves, but I must say that St. Luke’s could do better in communicating to the client the why and how.) We got the three negatives on the on the cultured tests as well and were able to get the last of the vaccinations and release.

Friday July 24 we had our interview, a friendly place as others have stated. We had all of our paper work except for one surprise. My wife was widowed and in our marriage, NVC process, and uploading at CEAC we had to of course have the death certificate of the first spouse. But at the window they asked for the first spouse marriage license, this was not on my radar. Lucky my spouse had it and we were good.

The staff did not let us petitioners to go to any of the windows. They keep me in Row E, I was the only one there for most of the time. A note, as I waited I could over hear the one window’s interviews. I estimate that during my time about 30 to 40% got a 221g for more information, missing documents and one with the birth dates not matching the NBI. On our case, the final window interview went well and approved. Waiting now for “issued” status for VISA. Thank you to this community for the “missing operator’s manual” to questions.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
