https://images.app.goo.gl/unyA7JFJigardxYA9 Here is an example of the Consulate email. Was your email exactly like the attached? Did you set up your interview before you received this email? How far in the future were there interview dates available when you did set up your interview? Thank you!!

How / When / Who did you receive your NVC case number? Petitioner or Beneficiary received? I read on one site that we should call the NVC after 2 weeks past the NOA2 date to get the number over the phone so that we can speed up the DS160 submission and interview date.

Hi, the petitioner can start calling NVC after 15 days of approval so they can get the case number as soon as possible, before even receiving the official email (which sometimes is never received). I did not receive an email looking like that. I've only received the case number and when I received it my case got in transit status which allowed me to schedule my interview. My interview could only be scheduled for about 2 months after we got the case number but it depends on the country you're gonna have your interview at. After getting your case number by calling NVC about 15 days after the approval, check the status in here https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker and when it gets in transit or ready you can schedule your interview. Hope I helped.

So if I understand correctly, we can submit the DS160 after we have the case number, but we cant schedule the interview until after the status is in transit or ready. I’m assuming that is on or after the NVC left date? Is in transit on or after NVC left? So I guess my question is, can you schedule the interview before the NVC left date?

Correct. Your interview can be scheduled after your case number gets "ready" status or sometimes with some luck "in transit". When it happens you're supposed to get an email. And no, I think "NVC left" status is one before in transit. Because when it's ready it's saying that your case is already in Brazil. I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure. So the order: NVC left > In transit > Ready. Only with some luck can schedule in transit and surely on ready status.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
