Congratulations! This is a positive indication we are next soon, as mine was initiated 11/7. Good luck and thank you for the update.

Thank you. You should be hearing back soon so be prepared =) It's so helpful to look at everyones timelines, and addicting lol. I will update this as soon as I hear back from NVC

I received the NOA 2 approval yesterday!!!

Wow congratulations!! I kept calling the NVC until they gave me a case number. It took 25 days for them to receive my case and then 3 more days for a case number. I think yours will move along faster than that. It looks like mines took longer than usual. Are you in any facebook groups regarding the visa process for Cuban fiances/spouses? I'm in a few and the people on there are very helpful.

No, but if you know of any, that would be so helpful. I am laser focused on this project, and it’s so stressful at times due to the unknown and incomplete requirements they state.

Congratulations!! This forum has been so helpful! Did you get notice that NVC had received your NOA2 via email or mail? My lawyer told me I'd be receiving the notice via e-mail which I've been checking religiously but nothing:( It's been 21 (business days). I know they say 30 days but now I'm getting antsy!

I got it by email a month or so after my noa2 but I just called nvc every day asking if they’ve received my case and to give me my case # so I can email the embassy in Guyana for an appointment. Call the nvc, Bc I didn’t get the email until over a week after they gave me the case # over the phone

***21 days not 21 business days! whoops!

Thank you! I will call them everyday! I am working with a lawyer but I wish I would have just handled all of this myself. I pretty much did all of the leg work!
blank avatar Jbm7123 on 2019-04-14 said:
It’s ok, the lawyer made sure everything was perfect and you got approved so it was worth it! Since there’s so much info on this website you’ll be able to do the rest by yourself 🙂

Thank you! Not sure if this will be the case for you but - do you know where at the Guyana Airport is the best place to meet your fiancé? I am coming from New York and will be meeting my fiancé at the airport in Guyana instead of flying to Cuba to meet him and then going to Guyana. Have you read about this topic in a separate thread?
blank avatar Jbm7123 on 2019-04-15 said:
No, I haven't read anything about that but I don't think the airport is very big so I doubt you'd have trouble finding each other at the arrivals area. You could probably look on the airports website for a specific place to meet

Congrats on your EAD approval! How long did it take after you expedited your case? I’m thinking of expediting too, but I might receive my EAD in 1-2 months anyway...

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
