Consulate Review: United Arab Emirates
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : August 6, 2019
Embassy Review : Arrived at 7:10AM and there were already a lot waiting outside the embassy. They started to let us in at around 7:20AM and the counters opened at 8AM.
Waited for my token to be called. All the staff were very nice and approachable. The interview went smoothly and only took me 5 mins. I was done by 10AM.
Questions asked:
1. What is your name
2. Where do you live
3. How long have you been here in UAE
4. What is your work here
5. In which company
6. Have you lived in any other country for more than 6 months
7. What did you do there
8. Where did you meet your fiance
9. What does he do
10. Where does he live
11. When did you first meet in person
12. Did he visit you again after that
13. What are your wedding plans

CO gave me an IMBRA pamphlet after and said that everything looks good and gave me a white slip saying Congratulations!
Rating : Very Good

congratulations on your visa approval..😀🎉 i just wanna ask if mobile phones are really not allowed to bring in the embassy?any advice or tips on how to pass the interview? thank you in advance..😊
blank avatar Jnclrc on 2019-08-05 said:
Thank you! You can bring your phone with you but you have to deposit it in security before you can get inside. Just make sure you have all the required docs with you and youll be okay. The more complete it is the less questions youll probably get. It only took me a few mins inside. Was never asked to show any other papers apart from first officer who took my police checks and my fiance’s financial support documents.

Hi! I brought only copies of his IRS transcripts and employment letter. What’s important is the i-134 should have a wet signature from your fiance. Goodluck on your interview!

i was given 2 vaccines and the last shot will be in 2020 January
blank avatar Jnclrc on 2019-08-21 said:
I went to NMC AD for my medical and I was given 2 vaccines (Tdap and MMR). They say it’s more expensive in the US. Actually, I was told by the doctor that vaccinations are not required for K1 application but it will be needed for AOS thats why i was asked during my medical if i will take the shots.
blank avatar Franklyn1104 on 2019-08-21 said:
thank you, i was given 2 vaccines too.. at least i know now we all have the same shots which the medical requires..😊

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
