Comments : We had to schedule an infopass appointment with the local field office to request an emergency travel document. They denied the emergency travel document because they said that we needed more proof that it was an emergency. However, when we were talking with the office, we mentioned that we had the interview 4 months ago and have not heard back. He was surprised and he opened a case update request. Several days later, we received the notice that our case was approved and my wife got her green card.

Consulate Review: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : March 14, 2020
Embassy Review : This seemed like a quick interview. It was nerve racking to be interviewed at a window where others were sitting behind us in the waiting room. The interviewer asked us questions about how we met, about each other's family members, about the husband's schooling etc. Nothing too in depth.
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
